Oppo F27 5G Review: This year, Oppo has unveiled several mid-range smartphones. While the Reno series remains popular, the F series also enjoys significant attention from users. Within the Oppo F27 lineup, the company has introduced two models in India, with the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G being the first to hit the market.
We also used that phone for a few days. The standard model of this series comes with new design and features. This phone has been launched by the company last month. Let’s know how our experience has been with this mid-budget smartphone of Oppo.
Oppo Reno 27 5G Design
This mid-budget phone of Oppo looks less attractive than its premium model Oppo F27 Pro + 5G. However, it has premium build quality. Matte finish will be seen in the back of the phone. The company has used polycarbonate material in it.
A camera module with Cosmos Ring design will be found in the back of the phone. This camera module is aligned in the center. The company’s branding will be found at the bottom of the back panel of the phone.
The weight of this phone is just 187 grams and its thickness is also 7.76mm. It will not feel heavy at all when held in the hands and will look quite sleek. Rounded corners are found all around Oppo F27 5G.
The company has given all the buttons on the right side of the phone. Volume rockers are given on the top, while power buttons are given on the bottom. At the same time, no button will be seen on the left.
SIM card slot, charging port and speaker grill will be seen on the bottom of the phone. At the same time, a microphone is provided on the top. A microphone is also provided in the rear camera module, which captures sound while recording video from the camera.
This phone is available in two color options: Emerald Green and Amber Orange. For our review, we tested the green variant. It features an IP64 rating along with SGS certification for Multiscene Performance Protection. Overall, we are highly impressed with the design of the device.
Display of Oppo F27 5G
This Oppo phone comes with a 6.7-inch FHD + AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Thin bezels are provided around the phone’s display, due to which you will get an immersive viewing experience while watching videos on the display. AGC DT-Star2 covering has been provided for the protection of the display. The peak brightness of the phone’s display is up to 2100 nits.

The flat OLED panel has been used in the display of the phone, due to which you will get a good viewing experience while watching video content or gaming on the phone. Its brightness reaches up to 1200 nits in direct sunlight, due to which you will not face any problem in viewing the content on the display. We found the display of this phone to be fine according to this price point.
Performance of Oppo F27 5G
This mid-budget phone of Oppo uses MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octacore processor. The maximum clock speed of this processor is 2.4GHz, which is much lower than the phones of other brands coming in this price range.
However, due to this processor, you will not face any problem during multi-tasking in the phone. Nor does this processor allow the phone to heat up. However, this is an old processor, which is meaningless for the users to use in a mid-budget phone.
We have tried playing many racing and FPS games on this phone with multiplayer mode and high graphics, we have not got any complaints during game-play. However, after playing the game for more than 30 minutes, the back panel of the phone starts heating up. Also, lagging problem can also be seen. The phone is good in terms of overall performance, but we did not like the use of old processor in a mid-budget phone.
Oppo F27 5G supports LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone’s memory can be expanded through external card. This Oppo phone is equipped with AI feature and works on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.
Battery of Oppo F27 5G
The Oppo F27 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. This technology allows the phone to reach a full charge in about 50 to 60 minutes. Once fully charged, the device is designed to provide enough power for all-day usage with ease.

Apart from this, quick charging support is provided in the phone. You can easily use it for 5 to 6 hours by charging it for 10 minutes. We have not seen any problem with the phone’s battery at the moment.
Oppo F27 5G Camera
The Oppo F27 5G features a dual-camera system on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera.
Like the Pro+ model, this phone also has a pro grade rear camera setup, which supports features like time lapse, slow motion video, dual view video. At the same time, you will get all these features in its front camera as well. Not only this, this Oppo phone is equipped with AI feature, due to which you can further enhance the picture taken from the phone.
With this mid-budget phone of Oppo, you can click a decent picture in daylight. In the picture taken in daylight with the camera of this phone, you get to see detailing and color accuracy. In the picture taken in portrait mode, you will get the option to blur the background according to your choice.
It has a Pro Night mode, which enhances the picture taken in low light. LED flash light is also provided in it to clear the picture in the dark. Talking about the selfie camera of Oppo F27 5G, you can also click a good picture with its front camera. The company has used a better selfie camera in this phone than the Pro model.
You will get a decent picture especially for uploading on social media. Its front camera also works well in video calling. This Oppo phone comes with a good camera according to its budget.

Our decision
This Oppo phone is also one of the good mid-budget phones launched this year. You can easily recommend this phone to anyone. After reviewing the phone’s price, features, camera, battery, design etc., we can call it a value for money. Apart from this, it is a good smartphone in the mid-budget, which can be easily carried.
This phone is IP64 rated, due to which you can use it anywhere in water, dust and soil. The things that we did not like in this phone are that the company has used an old processor in it, which does not justify its price. Apart from this, there are many pre-installed apps in the phone, which you do not want in your phone. However, if you want, you can uninstall these apps from your phone.
