Divya Tanwar is a resident of Mahendragarh, Haryana. Did schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and B.Sc. from Government PG College, Mahendragarh. After this, she started preparing for the Civil Services Examination and got a 438 rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 on the first attempt.

With this, she became an IPS officer and was allotted Manipur cadre. Even after this, she continued to study and once again succeeded in UPSC CSE 2022 and secured 105 rank.

IPS Divya Tanwar Birth, Family

Divya was born in a Rajput family in 1996 in Mahendragarh village Nimbi in Haryana. Divya belongs to a very simple family and a farmer family. Her father died in 2011 due to illness. Now Divya’s family consists of her mother, younger brother, and sister.

With the departure of her father, the entire burden of the family fell on the shoulders of her mother and Divya. Her mother used to work in other people’s fields and used to go from house to house sweeping and mopping. Divya also used to teach the children so that the additional burden of Divya’s studies does not fall on her mother.

IPS Divya Tanwar Education Qualification

Divya completed her primary education at Manu High School in the Nimbi district of Mahendragarh. So that the burden of studies does not fall on her mother, she passed the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya exam and was admitted to it.

And completed her studies till the 12th from here. After successfully passing 12th, she was admitted to Government PG College to graduate, and from there she got a bachelor’s degree in B.Sc (PCM).

Divya Tanwar UPSC Journey

After passing B.Sc, Divya started preparing for the UPSC Civil Service Examination. This journey of Divya has been full of many challenges. Due to lack of money, she did not take any help of coaching. Achieved the set goal on the strength of self-study.

In the beginning, she studied for 4 to 5 hours, then gradually started studying for 10 hours daily. The room in which Divya used to study was just a 10X10 room. Eating, drinking, studying and sleeping used to happen in the same room. This used to be Divya’s schedule for the whole year.

Divya did self-study by getting the prelim exam material online. And read the NCERT and standard books mentioned in the interviews of the toppers. After cracking the prelims exam, she joined the mentorship program of Drishti Coaching for the final exam, which included many test series.

These test series helped Divya a lot. She studied till the prelims exam by staying at home, after that, she went to Delhi for 2 months, joined the library of Drishti Coaching, and practiced Mains and answer writing. Hindi literature was the optional subject.

With hard work and determination, Divya proved that resources are not required to achieve the goal, but only hard work and continuous effort is required.

Divya gave full credit for this success to her mother. They never pressured Divya to do household chores. The mother has brought her daughter to this position today by working hard. Divya’s entire village was filled with pride at this achievement.

Divya once again achieved success on the second attempt. She has secured 105th rank (Divya tanwar ias rank) in UPSC CSE 2022 and with this, her dream of becoming an IAS has also been fulfilled.
