Sawan Kumar Tak Biography 2024: Bollywood’s famous director, filmmaker and writer Sawan Kumar Tak died on 25 August 2022 at the age of 86 at Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. It is said that he died due to multiple organ failure. He breathed his last around four in the evening on 25 August.

Sawan Kumar’s last rites were performed on 26 August at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. Sawan Kumar has made films with everyone from Sanjeev Kumar to Salman Khan. His first movie as a director was ‘Gomti Ke Kinare’ with Meena Kumari which was released in the year 1972.

Sawan Kumar Tak was a Bollywood producer and director. He was born on 9 August 1936 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Sawan Kumar married music director Usha Khanna but later separated. He directed many Hindi films, including successful films like Saajan Bina Suhagan, Sauten, Sauten Ki Beti, Sanam Bewafa, and Bewafa Se Wafa.

Sawan Kumar gave a break to actors like Sanjeev Kumar and Mehmood Junior. His most famous directorial film was Sauten, in which Rajesh Khanna, Tina Ambani, and Padmini Kolhapuri worked. It was the first Indian film to be shot in Mauritius which became a platinum jubilee hit.

Sawan Kumar Tak Death – Sawan Kumar Tak Passed Away

Sawan Kumar has been suffering from lung disease for a long time. Due to this, he had become very weak. His heart was also not working properly. Due to an infection in the lungs and difficulty in breathing, he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai a few days ago.

The condition was getting worse day by day. On the evening of 25 August 2022, at around 4:15 pm, Saavan Kumar breathed his last and died at the age of 86.

The last rites were performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai at 12:30 pm on 26 August. Many celebrities including Pran, David Dhawan, Sunil Pal, director Shyam Kaushal, Manmohan Shetty, and director Ashok Pandit were seen in his last journey.

Salman Khan expressed grief over his demise and shared a post on social media, writing “May you rest in peace my dear Saavan ji. Have always loved and respected you.”
