Currently working as Sub-Divisional Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Girwa in Udaipur district of Rajasthan.
Earlier, she has also worked as Assistant Collector in Alwar (Ria Dabi Posting). His elder sister Tina Dabi (Tina Dabi And Ria Dabi) is also an IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. Currently, she is the collector of Jaisalmer. Ria Dabi’s husband’s name is Manish Kumar and he is an IPS officer. He is also serving in Rajasthan.

Ria Dabi was born on 12 July 1998 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Her father Jaswant Dabi was the General Manager at Telecom Corporation of India Limited and her mother Himani Dabi was an officer in the Indian Engineering Service.

Ria completed her studies on the 12th at Jesus and Mary School, Delhi. After this, she was admitted to Lady Shriram College for Women, Delhi University. From here she received a graduation degree in Political Science. After graduation, in the year 2019, Riya put all her focus on preparing for UPSC.

Ria Dabi secretly married 2021 IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre Manish Kumar (Ria Dabi’s Husband Manish Kumar) in April 2023. According to media reports, both of them have done court marriage (Ria Dabi Engagement). This was confirmed by a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

She started studying for 10 to 12 hours daily. After graduating in the year 2018, she started preparing for UPSC. Riya had said in an interview that the subject selection in the UPSC exam should always be done according to one’s choice and not under anyone’s pressure.
Riya followed a constant schedule and also paid a lot of attention to revision. She used to say that keep fewer sources and revise them again and again. This is the basic mantra of success. With the right guidance, Riya got success in the UPSC exam with 15th rank.
Along with studying, Riya was also fond of many things. She used to do painting after taking a little rest from her studies. In childhood, she was very fond of painting. It is said that Riya was also interested in Indian Folk Art.
